My Task List Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how the My Task List app for iPhone and iPad handles your data.

In short: the app does not send your tasks, projects or comments to us. We do not run any server for the app, we do not use analytics and we do not show ads.

The app is published by drobny.dev s.r.o., Kukučínova 12, 900 31 Stupava, Slovakia. You can reach us at michal@drobny.dev. This policy is effective from 23 October 2026. If it changes, we will publish the new version on this page.

Data stored in the app

Your tasks, projects, kanban boards, comments and settings are stored only in a database inside the app on your device. You do not need an account to use the app.

We have no access to these data. When you delete the app, iOS deletes them together with it.

Syncing with your own backend

Syncing is optional and is off until you turn it on. To turn it on, you enter the address of a backend and an API token in the app settings. The backend is open-source software that you run yourself or that is run by someone you choose. We do not run a backend for the app.

When syncing is on, the app sends your tasks, projects, kanban boards, comments and the chosen language to that backend, and only to it. The connection must use HTTPS. Whoever runs the backend is responsible for the data stored on it.

Push notifications

If you allow notifications, the app registers with Apple Push Notification service and with Firebase Cloud Messaging, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Firebase Cloud Messaging creates a push token tied to your installation of the app. To create it, Firebase may also process technical data such as the device model, operating system version, language, time zone and app version.

The app sends the push token only to the backend you set up for syncing, so that it can send you notifications about changes in your projects. The app does not include Google Analytics for Firebase. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app settings or in the iOS settings.

Links in your tasks open in a browser inside the app. When you share a task with another app, the app passes it to the app you pick in the iOS share sheet. From then on, the privacy policy of that website or app applies.

Your rights

Because we do not receive or store your data, there are no personal data from the app that we could show, correct or delete for you. You control the data in the app on your device, and the data on your backend are controlled by whoever runs it.

If you have a question about this policy, write to michal@drobny.dev. If you believe that your personal data are processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky), Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, www.dataprotection.gov.sk.
